Last year at this time I was celebrating 4% volumetric growth on my heart scan. And exactly one year later, I have 69% growth - same EBT machine, same scanning center. I went from 19.3 to 32.7 Volumetric. Agatston even worse: 25.2 to 45.6. I had HDL Labs done on the same day. Dr. Connolly asked that I post the full results. I've got to run out for an appointment right now - will follow with my supps, things I changed, etc. but would love to hear any and all thoughts all of you might have based on the HDLs. Thank you so much,
A bit Discouraged, but Doubly Determined,
Pete

It bothers me your apoB so high with LDL- p low. What's the high apoB attached to if LDL-P low. My apoB was 68 when my LAD up'D 200 agatstons. 20%blockage to 70%. Dale apoB 70 when she got stent, MI, Stroke. WhereHouse TYP'Rs has apoB 40-55 mg/dl

Look IMPORTANT. The last three or so Charts. Its not the amount of CAC. ITS the rate of change that determines survivability.... http://www.trackyourplaque.com/forum/topics.aspx?ID=13160

generally now, when I find:
5 studies that say X is bad
5 studies that say X is good
5 studies that say they don't know
Then probably X doesn't have any affect at all.

Maybe it matters where you get your sterols from. Nuts, seeds, OK, grains, not OK? Sterols made in a factory, not OK?
That would be my guess.

Dr. Davis, what are your thoughts on Zetia? Do you use it much in your practice? And, if so, under what circumstances?

CAD, I'm hoping my experiment of stopping all these sterols, wait awhile, get another heart scan, will give the answer. If not, the search continues!
