I found a federal program that provides insurance for people with a pre-existing condition. Me! Heart disease. So, I hope it works out, thrilled to have insurance! I'm 58, got it for less than $500/month. I forget what they call it but you can put money in a savings account in a bank and then use that to cover your deductible and it's tax-free, the amount you fund your account with. I gotta figure out how/where to do that. I guess just call banks and see who has the best rate. Which is peanuts, I am sure.
Now, I want to find a doc. Preferably one on their approved docs list. But how can I find one that does not just toe the party line?... mainstream cardiology. That is NOT what I want. Any ideas how to do this? How could you do it other than call them? What would you ask? I'd like one who likes low-carb and TYP type thinking. Or, at least, will help me get the tests I want to get.
